Top 5 Best Google Adsense Alternatives For Bloggers
Best Google Adsense Alternatives For Bloggers: Whether you are a site editor or a blogger, you must consider the issue of monetization. Voluntary blogging is good, but it's not the most viable thing in the long term. Not only can advertising make it possible to reimburse hosting costs and other expenses related to the site, but it can also make it possible to generate income, more or less comfortable, depending on the popularity of the site, its theme, and the monetization solutions that we put in place.

My experience with Google AdSense
When I started creating my first sites in 2005, while I was a student, I quickly became interested in generating an income online. At the time, we had very few monetization solutions, but one had just emerged and clearly stood out: Google AdSense.
I started to get serious about it in 2008/2009 and made AdSense my spearhead. For a few years, I focused on the creation of sites called MFA (Made For AdSense) , sites that aim to generate automatic income through advertising. My objective was to acquire maximum of traffic and to optimize my advertisements, to maximize my click-through rate (CTR) and therefore my eCPM (income per 1000 views).
Arrived at the end of my studies, I was already generating a salary and the salary was no longer presented as a necessity . For example, I had a site that generated 1000 €+ / month without my touching it.
By working full-time on my MFA, I was able to pass income milestones, but this addiction to AdSense did not make me the most serene. Indeed, other publishers had seen their account closed overnight due to an offense on a site. It's something that can happen quite quickly if you're not careful enough.
So I stopped focusing on MFAs and started to seriously diversify my sources of income. I've done pretty well, as my AdSense earnings have gradually decreased over the years, and that's due to two factors: a drop in CPC (Google has increased its share of the pie) and a drop in CTR with the rise of Adblockers.

Google AdSense in 2022: is it worth it?
Over time, AdSense has clearly established itself as THE essential CPC compensation solution, eliminating several players in the sector in the process.
Google AdSense is and will remain for a long time the undisputed leader in online advertising. With its dominant position as the No. 1 search engine and the effectiveness of its Adwords program, Google AdSense still has a bright future ahead of it.
But does that make Google the only viable solution in 2022? And is it necessarily the most profitable management?
I will try to answer these questions, by presenting you the 5 best alternatives to Google AdSense.

Top 5 Alternatives to Google AdSense
Over the past two decades, many agencies have emerged, each with its specificities and qualities to meet the needs of advertisers, while offering more or less attractive programs for publishers. Some have failed in the face of adversity and others have been able to pull out of the game perfectly, this is particularly the case of the management companies that I am going to present to you here.
By doing some research, I found many articles presenting dozens of alternatives to Google AdSense, however there are mainly agencies dedicated to the US market. This is not necessarily what interests us, suddenly we will limit ourselves to the best management, operational on the French market. Let's go!
Best Google Adsense Alternatives For Bloggers
EZOIC
Launched in 2013, Ezoic is clearly the rising platform of the moment, it has been talked about a lot since last year and we understand why!
Ezoic operates in France and in more than 100 countries. Ezoic's promise is to consistently outperform revenue generated with AdSense. After conducting a case study with 30 publishers who switched from AdSense to Ezoic, the team observed an increase in revenue of more than 50% compared to the previous year, for equal traffic. Not bad !
Ezoic is interested in sites with comfortable traffic. Otherwise, it's not worth deploying to a small site. You can use Ezoic for free by allowing them to display a small banner in the footer. If you want to take advantage of all the potential of Ezoic, boost your income even more and remove the small banner at the bottom of the page, you can subscribe to a subscription in exchange for 5% of the income generated.
With the help of a Manager, you will be able to install and optimize the results of your advertising inserts. Once registered on the platform, you can contact Kevin Le FOL, whom you can find on Skype or by email.
Ezoic is an essential platform allowing publishers to generate much more comfortable income than by limiting themselves to AdSense.

TABOOLA
Launched in 2007, Taboola is aimed primarily at publishers of large sites (ideally more than 500,000 page views/month). With its 1000+ employees, acquisitions and exponential growth over the years, Taboola is a major player in online advertising.
Operational in 50+ countries including France, Taboola is used by media such as Le Figaro, La Dépêche, Challenges, Sciences & Avenir… Exploiting this platform makes it possible to highlight sponsored content and videos, at the beginning or at the end of the article.
Taboola is not necessarily likely to earn more than an AdSense CPC, however, click-through rates tend to be much better. The proof that the business is profitable: all the big media prefer Taboola and OutBrain to AdSense.
OUTBRAIN
We come naturally to OutBrain which is the direct competitor of Taboola. They both play on the same board: the recommendation of targeted content and products, focusing on large publishers.
There was a time when OutBrain only accepted publishers with a minimum of 10 million monthly visitors! Luckily, that time is over and they now say they accept anyone, as long as the quality is there and there is engagement with their readership.
Among the publishers using OutBrain technology, we find: Le Monde, 20 Minutes, CNN, BBC, Le Parisien, Orange, TF1, Allociné…
In short, OutBrain is very close to Taboola, both are very interesting for high-traffic sites.

ADCASH

Launched by a Frenchman in 2007 and now based in Estonia, AdCash has grown steadily over the years. AdCash does not necessarily pay at the height of AdSense, but it offers several very interesting advantages:
- it is open to all site editors
- it is present in 196 countries (including France of course)
- it allows innovative display formats (very good CTR)
- it has anti-Adblock technology
Also, AdCash operates in more risky and controversial business sectors, so it presents itself as an excellent alternative where AdSense does not venture.
Small webmasters and publishers in borderline themes will appreciate the fact that AdCash accepts almost all sites on its network. His favorite themes relate to games, money and entertainment.
AdCash allows webmasters to be paid according to the model that suits them best: CPM (display), CPC (click), CPA (action / sale) and CPL (acquisition of a prospect). The most often preferred solution is CPM.
AdCash provides 5 types of ad display:
- Pop-Under (advertising wrap)
- Banner (Classic Banner)
- Native (Sponsored Content)
- Interstitial (Welcome Mat)
- Push Notifications

EBAY PARTNER NETWORK
Until a few years ago, eBay offered Relevance Ads through its Partner Network program. These advertising banners allowed site publishers to be paid by CPC, like Google AdSense.
Since then, the program has evolved and the remuneration structure with: we are now paid at the CPA, or when a sale is made, we are paid on a percentage basis (3% on average – see the fee schedule ).
With its Creative Generator, eBay provides banners of different sizes, adapting to the content.
In short, eBay Partner Network presents itself as a very interesting alternative to AdSense when you have e-commerce-oriented content: product tests and reviews, comparisons...

Which alternative to AdSense should you choose?
We are clearly spoiled for choice and AdSense does not necessarily impose itself as the only advertising solution that is worth it.
To recap: if you have a site that generates comfortable traffic, you can turn to Ezoic. If you have stratospheric traffic, you can count on OutBrain, Taboola, or Ezoic. There's nothing stopping you from trying them all.
If you are in a gaming, entertainment or borderline theme, you can count on the services of AdCash. Finally, if your content is e-commerce oriented, you can opt for the eBay Partner Network program.
I thought I'd show you other solutions like Criteo or Amazon Native Shopping Ads, but it wasn't worth it. Recently, Criteo no longer seems open to welcoming "general public" publishers, moreover they communicate only for the Advertisers part.
Regarding Amazon Native Shopping Ads, it is the almost identical solution to eBay Partner Network, but it is only available for US & UK markets. As it was launched four years ago and we still have no news for a possible launch in France, I doubt that it will really happen.

As always, it is interesting to test different solutions, for enough time, to form a concrete opinion. It is important not to have a firm opinion on this or that management, because it can present better and worse performances depending on the theme.
And you, what are your favorite monetization solutions? Are you still using AdSense on your sites? Tell me all about it in the comments.
